5 Stars Don’t sit with the shotgun on your lap
This was recommended by our pastor. I bought copies for son-in-law as there are two teenage girls in the home. Also gave one to their pastor. They live in “red-neck” country so I thought this was a better approach than any I’ve heard about.
5 Stars a must read for all parents
We are a long way off from dating, but it was great to learn new ways to approach things before they start. My husband was really impressed as well. We have passed this book to several friends as well.
5 Stars If You Love Your Daughter
You must read this book. Dennis spoke at a dinner that I attended a few years back – before this book was written. His daughter had recently married, and Dennis played a video clip from the ceremony. The clip focused on the tributes that the bride and groom gave to their parents. His daughter spoke of the deep love and respect that she had for her parents. And she went on to thank her dad for all of the father-daughter dates, and for loving her enough to INTERVIEW all of her dates. There was not a dry eye in the room. This book has been waiting to be written. I also recommend Passport 2 Purity by Dennis and Barbara Rainey.
5 Stars Dads you have an important job
This book helped me realize the most important job I have as a Dad of two daughters. I’ve often wondered what I would do when my daughter was ready to date – and now I know. His interviewing techniques are simple and easy for any Dad to do. I’ve used this once and the “interview” went so well for both me and the young man that I plan to use it everytime.
One important thing you need to know is, you need to have a discussion with your daughter before hand. She needs to reguard you as her protector.

I wish this book had been around when my 2 daughters began dating. Unfortunately, it wasn’t but now that it is available I bought so I could give it to my daughter who now has 2 beautiful daughters of her own. It will be helpful to her and her husband in dealing with the dating issue when it arrives. Dennis Rainey and his wife Barbara have both written books that are very helpful with lifes issues.
