Unemployed may get 13-week reprieve
Unemployed Californians, who are exhausting benefits at record rate s , may soon get a 13-week reprieve. The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote as soon as Tuesday, Sept. 22, on H.R. 3548, which would add 13 more weeks of unemployment benefits for workers who have exhausted their maximum 79 weeks in benefits in high unemployment states like California.
