  • I run a virtual assistant coaching and training business, and I have a been a virtual assistant since 1996. Ever since I read this book, I began to recommend this book to my clients of my VA coaching/training business, because it gives a great uncomplicated outline of the steps you need to take to start up your virtual assistant business. I doesn’t glamorize the VA industry or make promises of getting rich quick. The common sense and informational approach really worked well. While I don’t feel the information in this book is comprehensive of all aspects of starting a VA business, it is a great and solid outline to build.

  • Along with this book, I purchased two other books that have given me great information towards putting my new VA business together (The 2-Second Commute by Christine Durst & Michael Haaren and Virtual Assistant The Series: Become a Highly Successful, Sought After VA by Diana Ennen & Kelly Poelker).

What this book did that those books did not do was provide a very good step by step plan for laying everything out in 30 days and getting it done. I was already in the midst of working on all of the items listed in the book but it was a scattered approach of pages throughout my planner notebook. Once I received this book in the mail, I was able to pull my notes out and organize them in a much better manner and then add to them logically and without wasted effort.

Truly, setting up a new business can be overwhelming as you create a to do list a mile long and wonder how to separate it all and get it all done. This book allows you to take it in steps – just plug away each day at a task and soon you are on your way to a home-based business.
